On Saturday 3rd February 2018, DEK Foundation held a Tet event at the shelter Binh Hung Parish for orphans and disadvantaged children of the Binh Hung Community.

The shelter is home to children, 6 to 18 years of age, who have no family or have been abandoned by their families/parents. Although supported by the government to attend public schools many still cannot so the shelter also provides homeschooling.

Over 100 gifts were given out including new clothes and sweets for the children. DEK employees also organized several activities and games for the children to play which was highly appreciated.

Tet is Vietnamese New Year and is the most important festival and public holiday in Vietnam. It is the time for families and friends to come together for the celebration. It means a lot to us that we are able to help spread and share our joy with others.
